A Tale of Four
Project Information
This game was created during my first year, second semester Narrative Design class. I was tasked with creating an interactive story with a minimum of 7 different endings. The game was designed, written and created solely by me over the course of 4 months. It was my first time using Twine, which I used to construct the final product.

What I learned
This was the first time ever creating an interactive story, let alone working with Twine. The main things I focused on during the creation process were creating compelling characters with intricate and hidden backstories. I used these characters and their personalities to drive the narrative forward and create the need for attention to detail, as using certain characters will be better for certain situations.
I spent the first months plotting out these characters, and then moved into using Miro to create the flowchart for the narrative. I used this flowchart as my main tool to keep track of and record all possibile endings and outcomes of each encounter.
Before my implementation into Twine, I wrote the entire story which totaled over 25,000 words in Microsoft Word. I made sure to include all the appropriate prompts and commands for Twine, so that when the story was complete, I could simply paste each part into the Twine software and it worked instantly. This saved me a lot of time on implementation in the long run.
