Silent Star
Project Information
This game was created during my third year, first semester Advanced Narrative Design class. I was tasked with creating a compelling Narrative story in any format. The game was designed, written and created solely by me over the course of 4 months. I used Twine to construct the final version and ensure it is fully playable complete with illustrations.

What I learned
With us having a lot of freedom during this project, I wanted to create something very impactful that really leaned into the emotional narrative side of things. Up until this point I had mainly worked on things that were more intense in nature, but for this I wanted to take a step back and create a truly intimate and emotional story for players to experience.
I spent the first months creating these characters and their motivations, and then moved into writing the script for the entirety of the story. There were parts that were cut along the way, but I was sure to get the script into a state where I was satisfied with the overall experiene before moving into the implementation phase.
When it came time to implement the script into Twine, I was fully prepared and made a few final adjustments for quality of life while interacting with the game. Overall, I learned that proper planning and correct ideation before implementation were paramount to having a successful product delivered within the deadline.
